Roma launches charity EP

3 months of planning is finally being finalised. Roma aged 11 has been busy song writing and arranging with help from her parents, songs to include on her first ever EP. Launching in June the 3 track EP will feature original songs mixed, produced & arranged by Robbie B and her dad Darren Nicholson and recorded locally in Ipswich with guitarist Paul Burke.

The download and CD sales will go to Selig the Ipswich charity behind the Ipswich Winter NIGHT shelter and Hope into action providing much needed care to the homeless of Ipswich. Roma hopes to raise £2000

Sponsorship to press 500 copies of the CD has generously been provided by three local businesses:

The Chequers Hotel Ipswich

Stagecoach Performing arts Ipswich

Sturgeon Builders in Needham Market

Without them this project would not be possible and we are eternally grateful.

Promotional images for this project have been photographed two of which are featured as our cover pic and also our profile pic and more will be added over the next few weeks. A huge big thank you to Chris Silvester for his amazing photography. Capturing the fun, beauty and cheekiness that is Roma.

Roma recorded her first radio interview

at BBC Radio Suffolk with Wayne Bavin

to be aired on Sunday 16th April

7pm to 10pm.

So we hope you'll listen in.

Over the next few days we will be updating this page with lots of exciting stuff as the CD design is created and goes to press, video production takes place and some exciting marketing and promotion meetings take place.

We hope you'll support Roma on her quest to raise lots of money for such a fantastic cause.
